Chapter Camp '12

Whether you are just learning what it means to follow Jesus, feeling called to step out in leadership, or are ready to become a revolutionary on campus, Chapter Camp offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to grow closer to Jesus and to be transformed to serve him. Chapter Camp provides a chance to be together with students from campuses all over the Southeast to worship and rest, learn and play, and make life-altering commitments to God. So come to Chapter Camp to be challenged in your faith for the sake of His Kingdom and our campuses.

Tracks

Kingdom Life

When Jesus preached, He preached about the Kingdom of God—but what does the Kingdom look like? Each day, you’ll see a different aspect of Kingdom Life as Jesus calls you to create authentic community, reconcile across cultural divides, fight for justice, speak on behalf of the poor, live simply and invest your money and time in His Kingdom.

The Call

“Come follow me.” With this challenge, Jesus called his followers into a life of mission, community, and wholeness. Come explore Jesus’ invitation to the authentic and joyful life that is promised to those who answer the call.

Small Group Leaders

Small Groups are at the core of InterVarsity’s mission to the campus. Come be trained in how to start and develop a small group. You will be trained in developing community and leading your small group in worship, mission, and inductive Bible study.

Leadership

Come be trained in principles of Biblical leadership and grow together as a leadership team. You will be trained as a leader and have opportunities to think, pray, and plan for the coming year with your campus leadership team.

Old Testament Experience

The Old Testament is rich and vibrant but can also be intimidating and confusing. This track will help you understand and appreciate the Old Testament in all of its beauty, richness and diversity. We will explore its main themes, uncover principles for interpreting the text and come away with a better understanding of God’s purposes throughout history.

Work Crew

Would you like to serve other students at Chapter Camp? You can receive free room and board for your service in the dining hall.

Arts (week 2 only)

The arts track will enable artists on the campus to contribute more to the life of the chapter, and to help mobilize the chapter for campus outreach. All students who are not in leadership but have an interest in the Arts are welcome! Please be sure to get approval from your staff to join this track.
